Jess [00:00:00]:
Welcome to He Speaks, I Obey, a podcast of Bible backed affirmations and reminders for the growing believer. Today's affirmation is I am a new creation. Ready? I am a new creation. I didn't have to do anything to be new, but to return to God. He never left me and he loves me more than I know. He created me in his likeness and knows me better than I know myself. No matter how much time has passed, he is always right there. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

Jess [00:00:50]:
The old has passed away, behold, the new has come. The part that hurts the most sometimes is that knowing he never moved. We were the ones that walked away from him in the direction we thought was best or where our hurt told us to go. But you are here right now taking this moment in and believe you are made new, which is important moving forward. You just have to keep making the decision to come back each day with him and your relationship will grow. And he said to me, my grace is sufficient for thee, for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 when you said yes to Jesus, the old version of you, the guilt, the shame, the fear, the insecurity was buried. Leave it there in the grave.

Jess [00:01:53]:
It is not in your future. Sometimes people want to say it's so simple to do, but when you're in the middle of it, it's not that simple. Not at all. It's more like limiting. It's unbelievable and almost makes you hopeless. The enemy or the judgment of yourself will tell you you can't make it past where you've been. Discouragement and shame are the top tools of the enemy and it's set to keep you feeling as if it will never get better. But I challenge you today to push yourself to believe more and more each day that you are a new creation.

Jess [00:02:34]:
Speaking until your heart warms, speaking until no one can tell you differently. Philippians 3:12, 14 says, not that I have already ordained this or am already perfect, but I press on to making my own because Christ Jesus has made me his own brothers. I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on towards the goal for the prize of the upper call of God in Christ Jesus. This is a reminder that you are not who you were. You are becoming who God called you to be. Every person on this earth was created in God's likeness. Elohim God, mighty Creator, we are created as creators by our Creator.

Jess [00:03:32]:
We are created in the likeness of we can declare and decree and it is so we have the God of the impossible back in us. So when the lies try to creep in today and remind you of what has passed away, speak the truth. I am new in Christ. That version of me is gone and will never return. Remember, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1st John 1 and 9 Father, I thank you for making me new, reminding me that I don't have to live in the past, rather with something I did or things that were done to me. I choose to live from your promise. Your spirit lives in me.

Jess [00:04:23]:
I am a new creation as your word says in Genesis 28:15. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go. And I will bring you back to this promised land, for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. Thank you for welcoming me back. Thank you for loving me and protecting me unconditionally. Strengthen my mind as I rewrite it to believe I am new and the oldest forgotten. Amen. Carry that with you today.

Jess [00:05:00]:
Put it somewhere where you can see it each day until it becomes second nature to your belief. I am a new creation. Until next time.
